Korean BBQ Wagyu Short Rib Cooking Guidelines

Please note, this handmade product contains kiwi as a natural sweetener andtenderizer. Due to this tenderizing ingredient, each package must be cooked within two days of being defrosted.

Skillet Method

1. In a pan or cast iron skillet, heat canola oil over medium heat. Once very hot, place 2 to 3 short rib steaks into the pan. We recommend using two pans at once so that the steaks will be done at the same time. 

2. Cook on one side for about 2 minutes, moving pieces around in the pan to ensure that they brown evenly. Flip pieces over and cook on the other side for about 1 minute. You may want to use a bacon press or something heavy and heat-proof to keep the steaks from curling at the ends while cooking. 

3. Wipe pan between batches if necessary. 

4. Serve immediately, removing three small bones from each steak while eating. 


 Broil Method

1. Preheat broiler to high. 

2. Place short rib steaks in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with tin foil. Place pan under the broiler. 

3. Cook on one side for 5-6 minutes. Flip pieces over and cook for another 2 minutes. You can also rotate the pan to ensure even cooking. 

4. Serve immediately, removing three small bones from each steak while eating.
