Lamb Kofta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground lamb (you can use ground goat as well)
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¾ tsp hot paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Preparation:

Combine ground lamb with salt, herbs, spices, shallots, and garlic in a bowl. Mix until the ingredients are combined. 

Place a cast iron pan on medium-high with olive oil and heat until hot.

Divide the seasoned meat into 2" logs and place into the pan. Cook until they are browned, about 4 minutes on each side. Serve with yogurt sauce. Enjoy!
