Chopped Turkey Salad with Celery, Apples, and Raisins by Dan Holzman
This recipe is courtesy of the legendary Chef Dan Holzman, cofounder of The Meatball Shop and longtime Heritage customer.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 cups chopped leftover turkey meat, skin removed
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- Juice from 1 lemon
- ½ teaspoon of salt + more to taste
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ cup chopped Italian flat leaf parsley
- ½ cup sliced celery stalks
- ¼ cup minced red onion – soaked in salty water for 10 mins then drained
- 4 green onions sliced thinly
- 1 cup grapes, sliced in half
- 1 apple, diced into dainty fingertip sized pieces (same size as 1/2 grapes)
Preparation:
Gently toss all of the ingredients in a bowl to mix, season with additional lemon and salt to taste
