Frank Reese, now in his 70s, is the last remaining breeder of certified Standardbred poultry in the United States. Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch turkeys can trace their genetics 180 years and are the oldest line of turkey in America. Our Heritage turkeys are cured and smoked at Paradise Locker Meats in Kansas City, Missouri. Lou Fantasma, who is already famous for producing the addictive cure of our Signature bacon and maple cured ham, tried many recipes before settling on the cure he used for these turkeys. The result is an approachable, juicy centerpiece perfect for all palates.
