HERITAGE TURKEY NECKS, 2-2.5lb total — From Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch
Heritage Turkey Necks 2-2.5lb total From Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch
For the first time ever, we are featuring Heritage Turkey parts from the legendary flock at Good Shepherd Ranch in Kansas. Our Heritage Turkey necks are perfect for a slow and long braise like you would for osso buco; roast and eat like you would a spare rib; or use as the base for a rich stock or soup.
Good Shepherd Ranch raises America’s oldest breeds of turkey (and chickens) with genetic lines dating back to the 19th century. Frank Reese is the last remaining farmer in the country raising certified Standardbred turkeys including the Standard Bronze, Bourbon Red, Narragansett, and White Holland.
Heritage Foods has been committed to moving the entire flock of Good Shepherd turkeys each year since 2002. Once a staple on restaurant menus, for the first time we are featuring our Heritage Turkey parts online!
Fans of Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch turkeys include Alice Waters, who says, "Amazing! I have always focused on sustainability and I forgot all about BREED. What a difference in taste!"
